Nicky has been fundamental in ensuring my daughter’s diagnosis is correct and therefore her provision is too. She has been such a massive support for both her, and us as a family, and her professional observations have benefited not only my daughter’s language development but overall health. Nicky’s calm, kind and knowledgeable approach is completely child centred and her professionalism is invaluable on a day to day basis as well as in formal meetings. It feels like you have someone in your child’s corner along with you when Nicky is on your team!
Nicky is an amazing speech and language therapist who has a vast amount of knowledge in supporting autistic individuals who have complex needs. I have known Nicky for just over two years and her advice and guidance with supporting pupils in our setting have been second to none. Nicky has helped support our provision with developing our knowledge and understanding in Pathological Demand Avoidance and Gestalt Language Processing. She is friendly, approachable, and always there to answer any questions or concerns we may have. Thank you for everything you do, everyone at ML is extremely grateful!
We were so lucky to find Nicky and her amazing skills to help our daughter, who was diagnosed ASC at 15. We had been completely in the dark about how to help and support her, not too mention, the difficulties of navigating the world of SEN.
With Nicky’s help and support, our daughter gained a much needed EHCP and is getting the communication support in school from Nicky (that we specifically asked for). Nicky is one of very few adults that our daughter was comfortable with, but this is because Nicky has a unique skill in making you feel included and heard.
We hope honestly cannot recommend Nicky enough, she is a fabulous at what she does and an around wonderful person.
